The Moonee Ponds Cricket Club is thrilled to share with our great community that one of our rising stars, Avaniish Kotian, recently represented Victoria at the Australia Under 14s Indoor Championships in Perth.
Avaniish had a fantastic tournament, scoring 153 runs and taking 11 wickets — an outstanding all-round performance that led to his selection in the Australian All Stars side!
We’re incredibly proud of Avaniish and can’t wait to see him continue to develop and progress through the ranks at MPCC this season.

The Moonee Ponds Cricket Club is proud to announce Sam Brincat as our First XI Captain for the 2025/26 season!
A premiership player, bowling champion, and reigning Champion Player, Sam has consistently led by example on and off the field. His recent discussions with Coach Dean Alexander have shown a clear vision and passion for developing our young group and building a strong, united team, much like his predecessor, Patrick Didham.
